In 2007 the Honda F1 Team approached MCT and explored whether we would like to partner with them to produce their proposed new light weight and compact race and test team Pit Perch`s. The brief was extremely complex as it had to include and understand the individual engineers, team principles and strategists’ requirements. The design had to be compact, quick to assemble and disassemble, robust but light weight and accommodate the individual’s telemetry, communication and data presentation needs.
The Honda and IT specialists and engineers worked closely with us, and the project was successfully completed, delivered within the challenging 3-month project target and went on to support the championship winning Braun and early Mercedes Team for some years.
