Greenjets are pioneers of bespoke electric jet engines which are quiet, safe and efficient; accelerating the global transition towards a sustainable aviation industry. MCT worked closely with this innovative design team and developed the carbon shroud which utilised the structural and weight advantages that these materials and processes excel. The combined focussed approach to the design and operational targets meant the successful and expedient resolution to the challenging performance brief.
IPM5 is engineered around a ducted fan architecture, which offers both a reduction in noise
and an increase in safety over open bladed propellers. Greenjets have also patented several features that overcome weight and efficiency challenges traditionally faced by ducted fans. Alongside the development of IPM5,Greenjets is using this technology to produce propulsors for eVTOL and regional aircraft.
