Reverse Engineering – Case Study

MCT is able to offer a comprehensive reverse engineering service, which aims to replicate an existing component or product, but also allowing design and engineering improvements to be adopted.

The requirement for this component was to reproduce and manufacture the rear structural beam for a rare F1 car following an accident which destroyed the original component. MCT arranged the borrowing of another beam from 1 of the remaining sister cars, together with the sectioning of the damaged part to create an exact copy of the geometry and structure.
