Tour de France & Velodrome

MCT supported JLR and Team Sky during there most prolific and successful era, whilst also developing cutting edge components for use in the Olympics and World Championships in the Velodrome.

  • JLR Team Sky:

For a number of years, MCT worked along side JLR engineers to produce the course vehicles to support Team Sky during their Tour events. This involved understanding the teams’ particular requirements for each year and then incorporating them into the chosen platform the JLR would like to utilise. From F-Type sportscars able to carry Chris Frume`s bikes at 100mph to F-Pace`s able to carry all the team’s mechanics and service equipment.

  • Velodrome:

MCT worked with an innovative engineer to develop super lightweight disc wheels, lighter than what was currently available, but also able to withstand the extreme torque developed by Olympic athletes. MCT has produced a number of varied components for cycling, F1 designed aero-handlebars, fairings, crank aero-fairings and wind tunnel derived racing frames, many of which have achieved success in their chosen events.
